Fruity grill skewers

Like the salty barbecue skewers, the fruity grill skewers are also very versatile

They are suitable as a fruity snack in between and of course as a deliciously fruity dessert. And since the grill is still hot from the salty skewers anyway, there is no need to cook separately.

If you don’t like the fruit warm, you can eat it just like that

Anything that can be skewered is suitable as fruit. Simply the very soft fruits, like very ripe bananas or apricots, don’t go so well.

Very good are pineapples, not too ripe bananas, watermelons, melons, peaches, apples, pears and so on.

All nicely cut into pieces, skewered and then grilled

Lemongrass is also excellent as a skewer. However, since the lemongrass stems are usually somewhat thick, the fruits must be “pre-drilled” with a wooden or metal skewer. This additional work is compensated by the superfine lemongrass aroma.

A sweet créme fraîche mint sauce goes well with it:

  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves (if possible spearmint, otherwise peppermint)
  • Or 1 tablespoon dried mint leaves
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)

Mix everything well together in the blender

Et voilà, the dessert is ready

Have you ever grilled fruit?
